Newspaper and newspaper ad sales are dropping!

I've decided to go back to the conversations on newspapers becoming a thing of the past. I agree that it does seem like more and more people are using the internet to find there news. The internet is much faster at relaying news seeing that it takes time to write, print, and distribute newspapers and all you have to do is upload a video or ad a article to your website and instantly everyone can access it. Is this really affecting news paper companies’ profit? On the other hand there are things like local news papers for towns or cities that obviously cater to giving the best stories on information that is happening in the local area, such information may not be posted all over the web. Also, we can't forget about the idea that comes along with sitting in the morning and starting your day fresh with a cup of coffee and a quick skim through the paper......one thing though, HELLO who really has time anymore to sit and read the paper while drinking coffee in their busy morning routine? Yes you still will have people that do or older people that still love too. You even have the small town where everyone knows everybody and they find out all their juicy information in that Sunday paper. I think newspapers are here to stay at least for a while because there are still many people across America that won't accept technology. As the years go on and our generation becomes older and the generations below us continue to have endless possibilities with technology it will become the way of life. Even though newspapers are here to stay their days are dwindling and so are their profits! I found some articles on the dropping profits on newspaper sales and newspaper ads. Out of the top 25 newspapers in the United States all had declines in sales except for The Wall Street Journal. The other ones had declines up to 20.6 percent for The New York Post! The first one is a really good article comparing the sales in online news and print news.
